Former Woloshyn & Clements patients visit an orphanage in Central Asia.

In August of 2009 two former patients, Nicole and Janea, along with their family, went for a few weeks to the remote Central Asian nation of Kyrgyzstan to work with a small (only being about 24 children) orphanage. They held a camp for the kids, teaching them about respecting and loving one another, encouraging them about their futures, playing games, doing crafts and simply having fun.

About the Orphanage

The orphanage is set in the rural mountains of the Tien Shan and though the children’s home be humble, it is exactly that, a home. The mother and father of the orphanage have made it a family and cherish each of the children as their own, being involved in their lives well beyond the short time they are given with them, tracking their progress through to the university and onto married life and beginning a family of their own. Their hope is to provide a safe and caring environment so that the children feel loved and are able to succeed in life, beyond the hand they have been dealt.

Thank you, Drs. Woloshyn & Clements!

Upon hearing about this venture to the opposite side of the globe, Drs. Woloshyn & Clements were so kind as to donate boxes of toothpaste and toothbrushes for these deserving children. The kids were thrilled to open the box of goodies and the parents of the orphanage were ever so grateful. It's a world where even the simplest of pleasures are few and far between and are certainly never taken for granted.

Thank you to the staff of Woloshyn & Clements for your generosity to children whom you have never and may never meet face to face, but whose gifts have made an impact on small smiles in Kyrgyzstan.
