Our Staff

Joy

Joy has been an orthodontic assistant for 36 years. She enjoys working with patients to make them proud of their smile. She is married with 2 beautiful married daughters and is the proud grandmother of 4 grandchildren. She is active in all water sports and snow skiing. She is starting to train for a future marathon: "My daughters have both ran in several marathons and my goal is to join in one some day."

 

Chris

Chris has been working in the orthodontic field for over 20 years. She has had many duties over the years including scheduling, receptionist, correspondence and greeting new patients. In her current position of financial coordinator, she assists with treatment contracts and insurance billing. Chris has been married for 25 years and has 2 grown children. She enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors either on the water or in her garden. Chris is truly a people person and enjoys interacting with patients and staff.

Joni

Joni has worked in dentistry since 1981. She has worked for Doctor Woloshyn for 11 years. "Dr. Woloshyn is a conscientious and caring orthodontist." Joni has also worked in periodontics prior to orthodontics which is a real benefit when it comes to discussing brushing and flossing instructions. She loves what she does and finds it a privilege to work with our patients and families during their treatment. She has been married for 24 years and has two daughters, one who has graduated from Washington State University and one who currently attends WSU. Go Cougars! Joni enjoys gardening, traveling to a new destination, sampling a new cuisine and reading a great book!

Lynn

It's been 36 years and she's still going strong! Lynn began working for Dr. David L. Turpin as a chairside orthodontic assistant. She continued working with Dr. Heather Woloshyn when she joined the practice. Lynn is now serving as our treatment coordinator. "The fact that my husband and I have relocated our home and now have a 186 mile commute to work each day should be testimony enough of the high regard I have for Doctors Woloshyn and Clements. What a pleasure it is to help you with your smile!"

Mary Jane

Mary Jane our office manager, is also another long time employee. She started working for Dr. David Turpin in 1970 and continuing with Doctors Woloshyn and Clements. When first employed Mary Jane worked as a receptionist and there were three other employees. "We now have 14 employees, two doctors and many changes over the years!" she exclaims. "Working here has been great and I enjoy seeing the patients and families." Her hobbies are working in her yard and watching her grandchildren grow up and get braces!

Susie

Susie joined Doctors Woloshyn and Clements 9 years ago. "This practice is growing continually and it's been fun growing with it." She has worked in the orthodontic field for 27 years. She loves what she does and never gets bored, "It's rewarding in so many ways. Meeting people and seeing them change with orthodontic treatment" is especially gratifying. Susie has two grown sons that are the joy of her life. During her time off she enjoys gardening and volunteering at her church.

Irene

Irene has been working in the orthodontic field for almost 28 years. She has been with Dr. Woloshyn for 10 years. Irene has been married for 10 years and has a "blended" family. She has a daughter who is 21 years of age and a son age16. She has two stepdaughters, ages 20 and 18. "As you might guess, we are a pretty busy family. We love the water, and go boating every opportunity we can." Their favorite place to boat is in the San Juan Islands, where they go crabbing, hiking, and just plain relaxing. "The thing I love about my job, are the people. I have been blessed to able to continue the friendships beyond the braces. It makes me proud to be a part of their beautiful smiles."

Jennifer

Jennifer began working in the dental field in 1995 and joined Doctors Woloshyn and Clements in 1999. She has experience in both general dentistry and orthodontics. Orthodontics has always fascinated her and is her favorite form of dentistry. She is truly passionate about her work with her patients and families. In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys swimming, hiking and doing crafts. Most of her time is spent with her son Zackery, who is also a patient in our office. "Being a parent of a patient has shown me another perspective of orthodontic treatment." Understanding the needs of our parents and helping to guide them through the adventures of braces is something she plans to continue doing for a long time!

Karen

Karen graduated from her dental assisting program in Sacramento California, passing both state and national boards in 1980. She has experience in general dentistry and orthodontic practices, specializing in orthodontics since 1986. In September 2005 she joined Doctors Woloshyn and Clements' practice. Karen has enjoyed getting to know all the patients and their families. At home Karen keeps busy with her family, her two daughters Pauline and Camille and her husband, Bruce. Karen's hobbies include golfing, tennis, gardening when it's not raining and playing with her dog Summit.

Toni

For 27 years, Toni has worked in our office, first with Dr. David Turpin and now with Doctors Woloshyn and Clements. Starting out as a "lab tech", she learned to fabricate various retainers and study models. "The high standards that our office insists on required a level of excellence that was personally satisfying to accomplish." After 8 years in the lab, Toni became the Records Specialist and Lab Manager, transferring her attention-to-detail to x-rays, photographs and impressions. Most recently, she has moved to the front desk working with our Treatment Coordinator, Lynn, she schedules new patients, contacts referring dentists and warmly greeting those who enter our doors. "Making patients and their families comfortable and at ease is especially rewarding to me." Outside of the office she dotes on her 4 grandchildren (and 2 grown sons and their wives), enjoys an empty nest with her husband of 40 years and is an amateur photographer and quilter.

Vickie

You will find Vickie at the scheduling desk in our office. She has worked here for over 21 years, first for Dr. Turpin and now for Dr. Woloshyn and Dr. Clements. Vickie and her husband have been married for 37 years and have three grown, married children and four young grandchildren. They enjoy spending time with their family, traveling, attending sporting events and cheering for the Seahawks! Vickie has enjoyed assisting patients and their families over the years and now occasionally sees the children of former patients as they are ready for orthodontic treatment.

Glenda

Glenda has been with Dr. Woloshyn and Clements for 2 years. Her previous experience includes working in an orthodontic lab. She works in our sterilization area and fabricates some of our retainers. During the last two years she has learned a lot. She really loves her job and all the challenges it brings. Recently Glenda started treatment with our Invisalign TM. She is looking forward to the changes in her smile! Glenda is a local girl who grew up in Renton. She has been married for 26 years to her husband Clyde. Her daughter, Lauralee will be getting married in September 2008. "It's always fun seeing my friends bring their children into the office and seeing their smiling faces."

Gwen

Gwen has been in the dental and orthodontic field for 26 years. She loves to see all of the positive changes our patients go through as their smiles emerge. Gwen enjoys spending time with her husband Bill and their two children, Danielle and Travis. Danielle will be getting married in August of 2008. Together they are busy planning the wedding festivities. Travis enjoys playing football and wrestling while his Mom cheers him on from the sidelines. She also has three step-grandchildren that keep her quite busy as well. In Gwen's spare time she fits in gardening and reading.
